Could do with a bit of advice if you don't mind.
I acquired a Boomerang Elan a few weeks ago. I have stripped it out and started a new install which is fine, I knew what I was buying and no complaints. Its going to fly on the Jetcat P120 that was in it. The whole set up has only had two flights though that was some time ago.
This model has fibreglass booms and the tail plane is held on with four 2.5mm allen bolts.
Having down loaded the manual, it shows the tail plane to be held on with four bolts, plus a metal tongue that slides into the tops of the boom and further secured with a nut and bolt.
We had a visitor at our field last week with the same model and he had the nut and bolt/metal tongue set up as well, though, In my ignorance, I didn't ask weather the booms were fibre glass or wood.
Am I missing something here? If anyone has the answer, I would be most grateful.
Thanks in advance
