Pilot RC Dolphin Build finally completed!

Postby Haden Kingsland » Sun May 14, 2017 7:47 pm

After about 1 year since buying the kit, and building it one way with air retracts, then changing my mind and going with electrons... then using XBUS with a hub, to again changing my mind and going for a Powerbox unit after losing confidence in the way the JR unit was behaving under load... I have now finally finished the Dolphin and today took it to the field for a shake down, taxi testing, range checks and final tests.

A special thanks to Xoel and the team at Electron, for sorting the retract units and making any tweaks needed for the model... a great service and right on the button.

I am really chuffed with how it has turned out, so wanted to share a few pictures with you...

Well done Hayden exactly the same colour scheme as mine, she certainly looks the part. Just be very careful on the flare out just before touching down. All the best for her maiden.
