Jr receivers and Spectrum transmitters.

Postby stevewhite » Tue Dec 22, 2015 5:21 pm

Hi can anyone tell me would a Jr rd1221 receiver be ok with a Spectrum DX18 transmitter.
It says it will on the box but has anyone had any experience of this set up.
I know it works the other way with Spectrum receivers and Jr transmitters

Thanks Steve

Will depend on the age of the DX-18
If it supports DSM-2 then yes and its the best Rx you could use. The Tx's Spektrum released after Feb this year are DSM-X (hopping) output only.

Thanks Dave.
My DX18 is brand new as i understand it dos both dsm2 and dsmx.
I tried to bind it to the Jr1221 receiver and it bound straight away and everything seems to be working as it should be, the transmitter seems to automatically switch to either system as i have also been able to bind my new Spectrum 12 channel dsmx receiver without changing any settings on the transmitter.
Regards.
