New Jet for 2016 season!

Postby Glyn Dale » Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:05 am

Hi Guys,
just maidened my new FB Dolphin Mk2 today (upturned wingtips etc.)
It was really windy but straight down the runway so no probs for a big bird! (kept blowing my chair over, neck strap all over, but it never blew a hair out of place? Strange that, ha ha).
It just floated off the tarmac and flew brilliant! Not a single click of trim needed, Amazing!
It carries one 2ltr tank and two 1.8ltr conformal tanks and after a 7 min flight I had only used one of the conformal tanks and a third out of the other conformal tank, the 2ltr was still full!!
It has Jetcat 180RXi for shove (new for this model care of Mot-Rot) and it performed faultlessly.
Admitted I wasn't caning it as most of the flight was setting up flap/elev mix, testing and setting gain on IGyro 3e (borrowed from my mate Gary).
When I landed it I estimate touch down was about walking speed...Amazing model, well recommended.
Incidently, my FB Velox XL is still going well (now also on a Jetcat 180RXi) after over 100flights and not a mark on it.... totally reliable!
Thanks to Martyn at ACE JETS, looking forward to some good flying this year!
Happy,safe flying all,
