RED ARROW STROBE LIGHTS

Hi guys
Question I've been looking high and low ,do anybody know the correct strobe sequence and correct Colour for the belly and strobe rear of the cockpit on a red arrow, I've always thought they were red now some one says white ? ? And sequence if anybody knows thanks in advance

hey bud,
We both Hawk T1 (Red Arrows) and mine Hawk T2 have both Red and White strobes. We use Red strobes when in close formations such as the Red Arrows but when we go tactical formation, such as flying around at low level through the mountain ....pretty much anywhere other than close formations then we use White. The switch inside the cockpit has the option of going white or Red. Obviously we use Red at night too.


As for the Reds, I'm not sure what their normal operating mode it but generally across ANY fleet in the RAF including when I was on
Tornado, you would strobe RED when in close formation. It stops the Lead aircraft strobes dazzling the pilots of the other aircraft.
